just a quick note . . .

Hi everyone! No food-related post today——just letting everyone know that I’m in the midst of a design overhaul (as you can clearly see). I spent the better part of the weekend basking in the glow of my computer monitor and praising the heavens for Firebug, and now that I’ve started to see lines of code whenever I close my eyes, I think it’s time to take a break. I’ve done some serious paring down with the intent to bring things back in a cleaner, more user-friendly arrangement. So you may notice some functionality has gone MIA for now (i.e., the categories list and the email subscribe), but they will return in a less-ugly form soon enough.

So over the next week or two, you will be seeing random changes and improvements (and possibly be subjected to a rant about widgets, though I’ll try my best to internalize). In the meantime, thank you for your patience! (And if anyone happens to notice anything a little wonky, I would greatly appreciate it if you’d let me know.)

    I made these for my boys using my Mom’s metal Valentine cookie cutter. I called them “Love Toast” and did it for special breakfasts before school. Now they make them for their children!

    So, now I’m all about naming my meals after serial killers! I called this one SONny of SAMwich, since the egg is sunny side up.

    I’ve been making this for my daughter since grade school. (She’s turning 30 soon.) She just asked me to make her one a few weeks ago. We use a circle for non-holiday use. They are called Egyptian Eyes for us. Thanks for the reminder that she needs one this week. (She is staying at our house this week due to a bum knee and she can’t walk up the stairs to her home.)
